JOINT STATEMENT OF FRANCE U.S.A U.K GERMANY AMID IRANIAN NUCLEAR MEASURE BY IAEA
IRAN ENRICHED RATE OF URANIUM TO 60%
USPA NEWS -
France, the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom released a Joint Statement, regarding the latest Iranian nuclear measures reported by the IAEA. We publish te full text of the Statement as it was delivered, from the spokespersons."The IAEA report of December 26, 2023 highlights that Iran has increased its rate of production of uranium enriched to 60% at the Natanz and Fordo sites to bring it to the levels observed between January and June 2023. These facts constitute a step in the wrong direction on the part of Iran, resulting in the tripling of its monthly production of uranium enriched to 60%." Source: French Ministry of Foreign Affairs
JOINT STATEMENT OF FRANCE, U.S.A, U.K, GERMANY AMID LATEST IRANIAN NUCLEAR MEASURES BY IAEA
"We condemn this measure which further aggravates the continued escalation of the Iranian nuclear program. Iran's production of highly enriched uranium has no credible civilian justification and reported production levels at the Fordo Fuel Enrichment Facility as well as the Pilot Fuel Enrichment Facility carry risks significant proliferation. We note Iran's decision to return to a cascade pattern similar to that discovered by the IAEA at Fordo earlier this year. The late declaration of this change in configuration in January 2023 had cast serious doubts on Iran's desire to cooperate transparently with the IAEA.

These decisions demonstrate Iran's lack of desire to engage in de-escalation in good faith and reflect irresponsible behavior in a regional context of tension.
We urge Iran to immediately reverse these measures and de-escalate its nuclear program. Iran must cooperate fully with the IAEA to enable it to provide assurances that Iran's nuclear program is exclusively peaceful and must re-accredit suspended inspectors in September 2023.
We remain committed to a diplomatic solution and reaffirm our determination that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon." Source: French Ministry of Foreign Affairs
