The property tax has increased on average by 20% over the past five years. For 2015, the increase was 2.34%, explains Christian Mpanzu on France 2. JDN has studied the evolution of local taxation in the 117 municipalities in France (excluding overseas departments) of 50,000 or more inhabitants. But this figure can vary widely depending on the municipalities and departments. Neuilly-sur-Seine real estate owners are entitled to a 18% increase this year. Lille is second with an increase of 14%. Strasbourg and Hyères complete the picture with just under 10%.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The result is that 31 of them have entered the raising of communal rate of local taxes in 2015, or 26%, against only 10 in 2014, 9%. In these 31 cities, housing tax rate, property tax on buildings and land tax on the frame not increase by an average of 1 point compared to 2014. Unlike the 31 cities, eight voted to lower rates in 2015 (7%) and 67% opted for their maintenance.

JDN also identified 20 large cities with higher local tax rate in 2015 was highest. Among the 120 large cities that are affected by increases, the tax for property owners in the city of Laval is affected by a drop in property tax of 5%.
