USPA NEWS - leur Pellerin, Minister of Culture and Communication, has proposed to the President of the Republic the appointment of Jean-Marc Bustamante to the direction of the National School of Fine Arts of Paris, on the proposal of the selection committee that s 'met August 28, 2015.

For twenty years he taught in several European schools including the Rijksakademie van Beeldende of Amsterdam and at the Akademie der Künste in Munich Bildenden. He is a professor at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris since 1998.  Jean-Marc Bustamante wants to place the artist at the heart of the school project, increase its international visibility by including it among the leading institutions in a globalised world. He wants to encourage greater cross in the school while respecting its identity. With his experience he intends to respond to the school's development challenges that the Minister of Culture and Communication has set out on the occasion of Audience Young Creation to give new impetus to an institution that plays a major role in higher arts education.25 candidates responded to the call for applications. After an initial assessment, the selection committee proceeded with the hearing of each of the eight candidates on the basis of the project they had previously sent. THE JURY OF THE PARIS BEAUX ARTS SCHOOL TO APPOINT THE NEW DIRECTOR------------------------------------- This committee was composed of Marie-Claude Beaud, Director of the New National Museum of Monaco, Carole Benzaken, artist, Jean-Pierre Greff, director of the High School of Art and Design in Geneva, Laura Ortiz, associate university in law and President of the association Sciences Po-Europe (ESoPA), Alfred Pacquement, Honorary Director of the Musée National d'Art Moderne (CNAC - Georges Pompidou), three representatives of the elected school in the school board, Martin Faure, Managing student, Valerie Sonnier, representative of teachers and Alice Rivey, representing the administrative staff, and Orier Michel, Managing Director of Artistic Creation.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The National School of Fine Arts in Paris is a public administrative institution under the Ministry of Culture and Communication. It hosts more than 500 students and a budget of over € 10 million. Between 60 and 70 teachers, including many internationally renowned artists teach there.
