"The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior welcome the outpouring of solidarity towards the Ukrainian people shown by the departmental fire and rescue services throughout the national territory. Thanks to this exceptional mobilization, a convoy organized by the Ministries for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Interior will make it possible to transport vehicles and intervention equipment to Romania on March 23, which will be offered to the Ukrainian service. emergency situations mobilized day and night to help the victims. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior welcome the outpouring of solidarity towards the Ukrainian people shown by the departmental fire and rescue services throughout the national territory. Thanks to this exceptional mobilization, a convoy organized by the Ministries for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Interior will make it possible to transport vehicles and intervention equipment to Romania on March 23, which will be offered to the Ukrainian service.
EMERGENCY SITUATIONS MOBILIZED DAY & NIGHT TO HELP THE VICTIMS -------------------------------------------
On March 23, 100 firefighters and rescuers will transport the vehicles and equipment donated to the border with Ukraine: 11 fire engines, 16 personal rescue vehicles and 23 trucks carrying 49 tons of medical equipment and rescue (protective equipment, hand ladders, fire hoses, medical equipment, etc.). This operation is coordinated by the General Directorate for Civil Security and Crisis Management of the Ministry of the Interior and the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. A convoy of 21 new ambulances which left on March 22 completes this donation. They were purchased thanks to contributions from local authorities and companies paid into dedicated competition funds managed by the Crisis and Support These operations carried out within the framework of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (MPCU) testify to the solidarity of France, its local authorities and its companies towards the Ukrainian people.
