Faced with anger, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex invited the doctors' unions Wednesday evening to a meeting in an attempt to calm the great tensions which have been accumulating since the beginning of the week. "There is an urgent need to reconcile the government and general practitioners," worried an executive adviser to LCI. "On both sides, we must take a step, we must stop hitting each other." During this meeting, the French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, reminded the doctors that they are the cornerstone of the vaccination strategy, according to the elements communicated to the news channel, LCI TV. He also asked the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, to write to doctors this Thursday in order to specify a certain number of "reciprocal commitments" on the continuation of the vaccination.------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, the representative of a union present at this meeting, is pessimistic, "We expressed the feeling of contempt and anger on the ground", and adds. "I was waiting for clear answers and I did not have any clarification. I understand that the government is subject to the vagaries of the arrivals of the various laboratories, but all this is very disappointing."
