Vadim, Stephane Novick's Son says said: « After delivering, on the 18th of March, a 100 pizzas to our local hospital in Dieppe, we were overwhelmed by the amount of support we received on all of our social media platforms ( 100 000 Views in 2H on Facebook ) and decided to pursue this charity work. From that day onwards our pizza oven hasn´t stopped working because of the increasing amount of suggestion we decided to uptake all over the region ! Rather ambitiously on the second day we made our way to the CHU in Rouen ; a place where over 1000 nurses, doctors and staff work together on the front line to fight the epidemic. The smile on professor Joly´s face as we unloaded the 100 pizzas form our grey Toyota van pushed us into realizing that any help, even the smallest, can make a difference ! »
THE 1ST DELIVERY OF PIZZA TO THE HOSPITAL CAUSED SUCH A JOY OF CAREGIVERS THAT IT IS RENEWED AND EVEN IN ROUEN
Nearly a week after we have started this work ; we managed to give away over 400 pizzas to three different hospitals (DIEPPE, ROUEN, EU) as well as our local police and fire fighter stations ! Nevertheless, we are now willing to diversify the targeted « people in need » and reach out to EPHAD´s (Nursing Homes), Orphanages and social workers. For this reason, I have contacted the NORMANDIE LORRAINE association to arrange a delivery of 25 pizzas ( both staff and children) tomorrow. On Monday ( tomorrow) I will be contacting the Quiberville townhall to see what can be arranged there“¦
I have also set up an online donation webpage for our cause and I´m glad to see se have received over 3200 € in 72H. (22nd March 20), The majority of the money will go to pay our staff and the rest will be donated to the cause of our choice. Lastly, I would like to point out that our food supplier ( DEROCHE ) has decided to give us free food in order to sustain our actions ! Please keep your family and yourself safe during those uncertain and dangerous times. Just to let you know that because of the rise in the money we received in the past 24h we will go forward in creating an association.» The statement of Novick´s family at Dieppe, owner of Stadium and Pizzeria Henri IV, who launched the operation « Pizza Offered and delivered to hospital´s medical staff and the underprivileged people and disabled during the quarantine, started from 17 March 2020, over the COVID-19 outbreak.
