FULL INTEGRITY OF THE SPEECH OF NIKOL PASHYNIAN AT 47TH ASSIZES FOR INTERNATIONAL FRANCOPHONE PRESS AT EREVAN------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is the integrity of the speech addressed by Nikol Pashynian Armenian's OM, at Erevan, on the occasion of the 47th Assizes of International Francophone Press.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Mister President, Mr. Secretary General of the UPF, Ladies and gentlemen, I greet you and wish you cordially on the Armenian land. Sorry, for not being able to be with you today, I am nevertheless with you wholeheartedly. Being a journalist myself, I attach particular importance to the freedom of the press, and the Armenian Government's important contribution to holding the Assizes in Armenia is one of the best testimonies.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The geographical extension of the UPF and the arrival of media representatives from all over the world in Armenia prove once again that the press knows no boundaries. It is undeniable that in today's world the presence of dynamic, principled and forward-looking media is extremely important. The theme chosen for the 47th International Conference of the Francophone Press Union "Media and Migration" is obviously and deeply related to the news. Volunteers, forced or forced, migration has always been part of the history of humanity. Migration, in its diversity of causes, is developing rapidly and is currently a challenge for the countries as a whole. We are convinced that the discussions, reflections and solutions proposed during the round tables and workshops will be of great benefit to all of us, allowing us to reflect together on the image given by the media in the representation of migratory flows, helping governments to improve their migration policy to better manage and prevent the crises that hit us today.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In particular, we wish to highlight the importance of digital in media activities. Being one of the important pillars of the development program of the Republic of Armenia, digital technology has become one of the important tools of awareness. Called to be levers of mobilization and solidarity, social networks can also be manipulative tools, which is why it is of paramount importance to raise this issue as part of the conference. In conclusion, I would like to congratulate you on your commitment and your valuable work and wish you every success in carrying out all your projects. Thank you."
