This meeting allowed the Minister to review the status of the equipment with broadband in France. He confirmed the need for deployment of specific commitments from private operators by the end of the year. These clarifications will enable the State as to the communities to have visibility into these key investment programs. An inventory will be established in January 2016. The French State has already committed almost € 2 billion, out of the 3.2 billion of the plan France high speed broadband, to support very high speed network projects supported by the community. 78 projects, corresponding to the coverage of 89 called in French “Departments“ (Counties), were filed by them to receive funding under this plan.-----------------------------------The meeting also allowed to monitor the implementation of provisions from the law for the growth, activity and equal economic opportunities, particularly those aimed at reducing the costs and constraints on the deployment of fibre networks optical and clarify the conditions of access to networks supported by local authorities.------------------------------------
Finally, a progress has been made on implementation of the hedging program of the white areas of mobile telephony. Emmanuel Macron welcomed the full mobilisation of state services, local authorities and operators in identifying nearly 200 municipalities towns centres to be covered by the end of 2016. The results of this census, may be further supplemented to ensure that no territory has been forgotten, will be formalised in early November to allow the launch of the first works quickly.-----------------------------------In conclusion, the Minister Emmanuel Macron, emphasised that “The telecom operators, the networks they deploy, play an essential role in the digital transformation of our economy on the whole territory.
