USPA NEWS - During the night of Sunday 27 to Monday, September 28, the full moon passes through the shadow of the Earth and this is the opportunity to admire a beautiful total eclipse. In the US, it's the Full Moon harvest - called Harvest Moon - which occurs closest to the autumn equinox in northern hemisphere

EXPLANATION OF THE LUNAR ECLIPSE ON MONDAY 28 SEPTEMBER BY EXPERTS------------------------------------ According to the Anglo-Saxon and the fans of Neil Young it is the Full Moon harvest - Harvest Moon such called- that which occurs closest to the autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere. The total lunar eclipse takes place Monday, September 28, 2015 between 2 pm and 7 h 11 min 22 min, Paris time (GMT + 2 hours); Full Moon flows over the south western horizon when the phenomenon; there are observation sites for the public throughout metropolitan France; one can observe a total lunar eclipse safely with the naked eye and it is even more beautiful with binoculars or a telescope. Sunday, September 27 in the late afternoon, just before sunset, a beautiful and big full moon rises above the horizon. For the Anglo-Saxon and the fans of Neil Young is the Full Moon harvest - Harvest Moon - that is to say that which occurs closest to the autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere. It has two special features this year: it comes when our satellite circulates closer to the Earth and it offers us the wonderful free and natural spectacle of a total eclipse. As explains Guillaume Cannat in "Le Monde" that to pass closer to the Earth, perigee, less than 357 000 kilometers away, the Moon allows us to offer its largest apparent diameter, 33, 5 minutes of arc, 0.56 °. The second feature of this Full Moon is much more interesting, as it circulates today in the same plane as the Earth around the Sun - the ecliptic plane - and that it will therefore pass through the shadow of our planet and slip away.

IT IS AN INDICATOR OF THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE STATE--------------------------------------------------------------------- The Copper Moon aspect comes from the red rays of sunlight, slightly scattered and deflected by the lower layers of the atmosphere to the center of the cone of shadow projected by the Earth. The intensity of the color center provides a good indicator of the degree of transparency of the atmosphere; a large amount of dust will cause an extremely dark moon or even invisible.Over the eclipsed Moon will be copper red or orange, lined with a bluish border over the Earth's atmosphere is transparent. Conversely, the more the Moon appear dark gray, with virtually invisible surface detail more the atmosphere will be charged with dust particles. Thus, the appearance of the Moon during the total eclipse will give a snapshot of the overall state of the Earth's atmosphere! This total lunar eclipse is the fourth and final eclipse in a series of four consecutive total eclipses of the Moon which took place in 2014 and 2015. The succession of four total eclipses of the moon is a rare phenomenon, knowing that there is no succession of five consecutive total eclipses of the Moon. "It occurs only 177 times over a period of 6000 years, ranging from 3000 BC. BC to 3000 AD. AD This will happen again in 2032 and 2033, "says Pascal Descamps, astronomer at the Paris Observatory at the IMCCE. Source: OBPSM, Le Monde, IMCCE, NASA
