Ismael, the son of Ibrahim, raised in faith accepts to be sacrificed by his father. The Devil intervenes and tries to convince players not to practice sacrifice, but Ibrahim threw seven stones at Satan. The father grabbed a knife and put it on the throat of Ishmael. But it can not push. When he finally manages to cut the neck, he finds that the angel Jibril (Gabriel) has prepared a sheep instead of his son and that he is standing unharmed beside him.----------------------------------------------------------------- For Muslims, the faith of Abraham, being tested by God, was awarded the survival of his son. The Eid al-Adha remains a party celebrating the faith and mercy. This episode of the Koran refers to a Bible story, that of Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. This is interrupted by the arrival of an angel tells him that God is pleased with his faith. A ram is sacrificed instead of the young man.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam with the profession of faith, daily prayer, almsgiving and Ramadan. Some rituals performed during pilgrimages to Mecca remind the episode of the sacrifice of Ibrahim.
