The Minnesota Bulldogs rolled into Aurora, Colorado, with a 2-0 record and left with their unbeaten streak intact after a dominant two-day stretch. Guard Marcques Perkins put on a show, leading the team in scoring on both nights with a breakout performance that solidified his spot as one of the MBL’s rising stars.
Despite missing all of their big men except first-year center Wisdom Kowouto, who played exceptionally well anchoring the paint, the Bulldogs’ high-powered backcourt proved too much for their opponents. With Perkins and company firing on all cylinders, Minnesota showed why their guard rotation may be one of the strongest in minor league basketball.
Now sitting at 4-0, the Dawgs return home awaiting Monday’s updated power rankings, eager to see how their flawless weekend will impact their standing among the league’s elite.
When the Dawgs return home, they will be looking to take a week off and during that time it will give the team enough time to nurse some injuries. Coach Nicole Charles seemed very impressed with the performance of her young pups on this Colorado road trip.
