Truman wins on the night of Goya
It takes five awards

The 30th edition of the prizes awarded by the Spanish Film Academy was less politicized, although they did not cease to demand a reduction of the cultural VAT, which is fixed at 21%. Among the audience were present the Spanish Minister of Culture, Inigo Mendez de Vigo; the Socialist candidate for Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, and the leaders of the centrist Citizens, Albert Rivera, and the far-left populist displayed in Podemos, Pablo Iglesias. The three, immersed in negotiations to form a Government, a task for which the presenter of the show, the actor Dani Rovira, proposed to leave a room with the aim of reaching an agreement before the end of the gala.
Also they attended by Mario Vargas Llosa, Nobel Prize for Literature, who delivered the Goya for Best Original Screenplay; American actor Tim Robbins and French actress Juliette Binoche, both nominated in their respective categories of Best Actor and Best Actress. Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, sitting in the front row, also was on the verge of getting the award.
Because the winner of the night was 'Truman', which won the award for best film, best director award, the award for best lead actor Ricardo Darin, the award for Best Supporting Javier Camara and the prize best screenplay. They beat the favorite, 'The Bride' by Paula Ortiz, as well as the other candidates, 'A Perfect Day' by Fernando Leon; 'Nobody wants night' by Isabel Coixet, and 'For nothing' by Daniel Guzman.
