FRENCH SECRETARY OF STATE GIRARDIN ATTENDED THE 11TH FORUM OF MARITIME ECONOMY

USPA NEWS - Annick Girardin, French Secretary of State for Development and Francophony, has attended on 4 November the 11th Forum of the economy of the sea, annual gathering of decision makers of the maritime world, in Marseille. Over 1650 participants attended in 2014, the “Sea Economic Assizes“.

Annick Girardin, French Secretary of State for Development and Francophony, has attended on 4 November the 11th Forum of the economy of the sea, annual gathering of decision makers of the maritime world, in Marseille.------------------------------- Annick Girardin has spoken in a roundtable on "Blue Growth: two hemispheres, the same hope." Ms. Annick Girardin has discussed this opportunity with Jean d'Amour, Quebec Minister for Transport and the implementation of the Marine Strategy, and Teva Rohfritsch, minister responsible for French Polynesia's economic recovery and the blue economy issues which include: actions in favour of sustainable maritime economic development, preservation of small island states to climate disruption and new diplomatic issues related to oceans. Blue growth is a major issue in the fight against climate change and the adaptation of developing countries. A full day of the Paris conference on climate will be devoted to oceans.------------------ “ASSISES DE LA MER“ ANNUAL MARITIME FORUM IN MARSEILLE--------------------------------------------------------- With over 1650 participants in 2014, the “Sea Economic Assizes“ confirmed their status main annual event of the French maritime community. Over the first ten editions of this great appointment maritime, three Prime Ministers and twenty Ministers in office that came their vision of the economy of the sea before the French makers of the industry, from the public or private. However, the "Audience" is not a place for discussion and development of concepts. The "networking" dimension occupies a very important place in the DNA of the event. The many breaks between lectures, the two seated lunches and Gala Evening offer many opportunities to develop their address book and close deals.
