USPA NEWS - The US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle made a statement about Easter celebration to both Christian and jew communities. A group of 150 Christian leaders are invited at the fifth annual Easter Prayer Breakfast.

Barack Obama stated : "Michelle and I join our fellow Christians around the world in observing Good Friday and celebrating Easter this weekend. With humility and awe, we give thanks for the extraordinary sacrifice that Jesus made for our salvation. We rejoice in the triumph of the Resurrection. And we renew our commitment to live as He commanded ““ to love God with all our heart, soul and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves".----------------------------And he continues : "I look forward  to continuing our celebration on Tuesday when I host our annual Easter prayer breakfast as we remember the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives, stand with those around the world who are persecuted for their faith, and pray for peace, justice and freedom for all people".---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EASTER FOR THE CHRISTIANS : CELEBRATION OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS----------------------------------- On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is unimportant holly sunday to commemorate in a prayer service at churches. According to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorate on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Western Christianity, Easter marks the end of the Lent (Starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Sunday Easter), a 40-day, period of fasting, repentance, moderation, and spiritual discipline in preparation for Easter.-------------------------------------------- Eastern Orthodox churches observe also Lent or Great Lent, during the 6 weeks or 40 days preceding Palm Sunday with fasting continuing during the Holy Week of Easter. Lent for Eastern Orthodox churches begins on Monday and Ash Wednesday is not observed.Because of Easter's pagan origins, and also because of the commercialization of Easter, many Christian churches choose to refer to the holiday as Resurrection Day.

PRESIDENT OBAMA WELCOMED 150 CHRISTIAN LEADERS TO THE WHITE HOUSE FOR THE FIFTH ANNUAL EASTER BREAKFAST----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- President Obama kicked off Holy Week at the White House Monday with 150 Christian leaders at the fifth annual Easter Prayer Breakfast. Obama offered his condolences to the victims of the shooting in Overland Park, Kan., and he praised those gathered for their ministry work. You don´t remain on the sidelines,“ he told the group. “I want to thank you for your ministries, for your good works, for the marching you do for justice, and dignity and inclusion.“------------------------------------------------------------ The tradition was started by the Obama administration in 2010 to specifically celebrate the life and death of Christ. The President and First Lady will host a Passover seder at the White House on Tuesday, on the second night of the Jewish holiday.
