October 2024, the annual meeting of the maritime and logistics industry, known as the Joint Duck, took place at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia. This was the 24th edition of the event, which brought together over two thousand participants, representing 195 companies operating in the maritime and logistics sectors. The meeting provided a unique opportunity to establish business relationships, exchange experiences, and discuss the development of international cooperation.
The special guest of the event was the logistics company Universum Group, represented by its CEO Slawomir Rogowski, who also holds the position of Ambassador at Large at the IHRC. In his speech, Rogowski highlighted the key role of logistics cooperation in maintaining global supply chains, emphasising that the stability and growth of the sector require effective cooperation between companies.
Of particular note at this year’s event was the presence of key representatives from the International Human Rights Commission – IHRC. ?Prof. h.c. Rafal Marcin Wasik Secretary General, Chairperson IHRC Group. Peacemaker, emphasised during his speech the strategic importance of intercultural cooperation for global development and stability. He was supported by Msc. Ewelina Pawlowska, Ambassador at Large and Managing Director of the IHRC’s Department of Diplomatic Protocol, who emphasised the importance of engaging international organisations in economic activities, including in the maritime industry.

The meeting was not only networking but also strategic, allowing participants to analyse the challenges facing the industry in the context of changing global conditions.
Artistic elements, such as performances by the Mira-Art group and concerts by Musical Theatre singers, added an elegant touch to the event while maintaining its business-like atmosphere. This type of attraction creates a unique space for establishing relationships, combining cultural elements with business themes.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising the success and cooperation of the participants. This ceremony was attended by Slawomir Rogowski from Universum Group, Marta Wieleba from Konsal, and Agnieszka Kuraszyk from the Ministry of Infrastructure. The official part was followed by a raffle in which prizes included ferry trips, horseback riding courses, and hotel stays.

Joint Duck 2024 was not only a meeting of the maritime industry but also a platform to promote cross-sectoral dialogue and international cooperation. The participation of the IHRC and maritime industry leaders highlights the need to work together to build a sustainable future based on trust, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
