USPA NEWS - Air Show fans in Atlantic Canada should mark August 24th and 25th on the calender as Air Show Atlantic 2024 is set to land in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.
As the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrates their 100th Anniversary, a source close to the Air Show Atlantic 2024 production tells USPA 24 News that spectators can expect to see an incredible show, possibly the best in recent memory. USPA 24 News has also learned that there is a very limited number of General admission tickets still available.

As the weekend of August 24th and 25th rapidly approaches, there is much excitement and buzz in the town of Greenwood, which is located in Nova Scotia's picturesque Annapolis Valley as Airshow Atlantic 2024 takes to the sky over 14 Wing CFB Greenwood. This event will bring thousands of visitors to the community. With an amazing line up of Air Performances and a fascinating Static Display, air show enthusiasts and curious spectators are sure to be amazed.

The brilliant air display is sure to be thrilling, heart pounding and executed with perfect precision. Spectators will see performances by the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force Poseidon, the United States Air Force F-16 Viper Demo, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Canadian Forces CF-18 Demo, the Canadian Forces CP-140 Aurora, the Canadian Forces CH-146 Griffon, and the Canadian Forces Skyhawks Parachute Team. It should be noted that the Snowbirds have not performed at 14 Wing CFB Greenwood since 2017 and the CF-18 Demo last performed at 14 Wing CFB Greenwood in 2019. There are 2 confirmed Civilian performers that will perform with skill and pride: Trevor Rafferty Air Shows with a Pitts 12 and Manfred Radius with a Salto Sailplane. Both sure to please the crowd.

Along with the amazing lineup for the air display at the Air Show Atlantic 2024, there will be a fascinating Static Display. The Static display allows the spectator to get up close exposure to a wide array of aircraft along with a chance to interact with the pilots and crew members. Aircraft that have been confirmed to be present in the Static display include: (Two)Maryland Air National Guard A-10C Thunderbolts, a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon from Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland, a United States Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker from Atlus AFB in Oklahoma, a Royal Air Force Atlas A-400M, a Royal Canadian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules from 8 Wing Trenton, a Canadian Forces Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone from 12 Wing Shearwater, a CH-149 Cormorant ftom 14 Wing CFB Greenwood, and an EP-3E Electronics Signals Surveillance aircraft from U.S. Navy Naval Air Station Whidby Island, Washington. As the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrates their 100th Anniversary, what better way to honour this milestone than to witness displays of aerobatic skill that will be imprinted in the audiences memory and talked about for many generations to come. Attending an air show this summer is not only a great source of action packed family entertainment, but a great way to learn about the advancement of the Royal Canadian Air Force over the last 100 years. Also a great way for Canadians to support our troops by giving our thanks for all of their sacrifices made to protect our great nation.
