USPA NEWS - According to White House President Barack Obama will host an African summit in Washington on August 5 to 6, 2014, as part of efforts to strengthen trade and investment, announced the White House. The Summit will also provide an opportunity to highlight the U.S. commitment to security and democracy.

"President Obama looks forward to welcoming the leaders of the African continent in the national capital to strengthen relations with one of the most dynamic regions and the fastest growing in the world," said the spokesman of the House White. The US-Africa Leaders Summit brings together delegations from over 45 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb to discuss regional issues relating to the economy, politics and development, and will seek to forge closer transatlantic ties as well as it consider ways to collaborate globally to unleash growth and economic opportunities. This is the very first time and unique opportunity of gathering all the African leaders in a summit to take place in Washington, since the president Obama, took this constructive initiative. The American President is also taking a high risk for this African Summit, but Barack Obama is also positioned in accordance with his convictions to the ideological and political to advance the development of African continent dear to his personal struggle in a win-win relationship, with reports of bilateral economic exchanges concrete.
