Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, is all set to highlight a series of its advanced security solutions at the Iraq International Information & Telecommunication Technology Exhibition (Iraq ITEX) 2022 to empower organisations to safeguard their digital agendas in the modern threat landscape. The event is scheduled to take place from 15th - 18th of February 2022 at the Baghdad International Fairground.

As a strategic partner at ITEX, Trend Micro will showcase its state-of-the-art security solutions such as Trend Micro Apex One Endpoint Security, Trend Micro Network One, Trend Micro Vision One that protects digital environments with extended threat detection and response against a broad set of vulnerabilities across email, endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, and networks.

In H1 2021, Trend Micro solutions in Iraq detected and blocked over 11 million (11,072,985) email threats, prevented (323,079) malicious URL victim attacks, and 2,851 URL hosts. In addition, 46,328 malware attacks were identified and stopped. Trend Micro’s Smart Home Network (SHN) solutions also blocked 22,696 SHN inbound and outbound attacks combined, preventing over 545K (545,459) such SHN events for hackers to target or control home devices from executing malware, obtaining sensitive information, intercepting communications, or launching external attacks.
Also, the Trend Micro Security Predictions for 2022: Toward a New Momentum, state that threat actors in this year will focus on ransomware attacks on cloud and datacenter workloads, as well as exposed services, to take advantage of the large number of people continuing to work remotely. As a result, there is an urgent need to raise cyber security awareness to combat modern-day threats, and events like Iraq ITEX 2022 provide the perfect opportunity to do so.
