At least 1 killed, 2 missing in Utah boat accident
USPA News -
A woman was killed during a boat accident that also left two missing in the state of Utah, local authorities said Friday. The accident occurred on Thursday morning at around 8:15 a.m. local time, when thirteen people - seven adults and three children - were onboard the boat near the Dangling Rope Marina in Lake Powell in Kane County, Utah during a family trip.
Kane County Sheriff`s Sergeant Alan Alldredge in a press release said the driver of the boat might have been distracted by children on the boat when the ill-fated boat struck a corner of a houseboat. The driver of the boat was identified as Adrian Jackman. His wife, Marilyn Jackman, 57, died in the accident, while her 22-year-old daughter Jessica Jackman went missing, along with Valarie Rae Bradshaw, 29. The others onboard reportedly suffered from different injuries, but they are all expected to survive, although at least one child was airlifted to a hospital. Search-and-rescue teams including divers have been searching for the two missing women, although they have been presumed dead.
